Kumasi Police nab 4 over BECE malpractice

Police in Kumasi have arrested four teachers in connection with examination malpractices in the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination.

The suspects were arrested at the Ahenema Kokoben WAEC BECE centre.

It is not clear yet if the suspects have anything to do with the massive leakage of five BECE papers which have been the latest scandal to have hit the education sector.

The police are currently holding a press conference to inform the media about the arrests.

The five papers- Mathematics, Integrated Science, Religious and Moral Education, Social Studies and English language were all cancelled.

A new date will be fixed for the cancelled exams.
