Liverpool v Tottenham Betting Special: Back Kane to kill Anfield hopes
With Klopp’s men struggling for goals all over the pitch, Al Hain-Cole is backing the Spurs star to come up with the goods again at Anfield
Having scored just eight times in their last 10 fixtures, Liverpool will need to dig deep if they are to record a vital victory over a Tottenham Hotspur team that boasts the best defensive record in the Premier League.
Restricted to the bench for most of the season, Daniel Sturridge does not inspire much confidence as Paddy Power’s 4/1 (5.00) favourite to open the scoring at Anfield, nor 13/10 (2.30) anytime odds.
Instead, Roberto Firmino looks like better value at 15/8 (2.88) as he leads the line for Jurgen Klopp’s men, with Philippe Coutinho 15/8 (2.88) and Sadio Mane 15/8 (2.88) expected to make up the rest of a fluid front three.
With the last of his seven league goals for the season coming back at the end of December, Adam Lallana can be backed at 7/2 (4.50) to strike from a deeper midfield position, while Divock Origi 15/8 (2.88) could also be called upon as an impact substitute.
In contrast to the fairly even spread of goals in Jurgen Klopp’s team, Harry Kane is the undisputed spearhead of the Spurs attack after scoring 14 times in just 19 league appearances this campaign.
Having found the net in each of his previous two trips to Anfield, the England international offers excellent value at 7/4 (2.75) after scoring seven goals in his last seven league appearances.
Also in strong form with five goals to his name in nine games, Son Heung-Min is priced at 9/4 (3.25) to get on the scoresheet, while Vincent Janssen can also be backed at those 9/4 (3.25) odds to score at Anfield for the second time this season.
While attacking midfielders Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela may attract some interest at 11/4 (3.75) apiece, Dele Alli is surely the best value long shot at 16/5 (4.20) considering he has struck 11 goals in 21 league starts already.
