As Founder and President of Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA), Mrs Toyin Saraki is a Nigerian philanthropist with two decades of advocacy covering maternal, gender-based discrimination and violence, socio-economic empowerment and community livelihoods in Africa. She is an advocate of
Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5 in Nigeria, reducing the rate of maternal and infant mortality. Within her period of stay at the corridors of power, Toyin rose to become a board member of the Global Foundation for the Elimination of Domestic Violence and the board of the Africa Justice Foundation where she has helped to champion “Save the Children Nigeria project”. She is married to former governor of Kwara State and current Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki and blessed with four children.
Weeks ago, Mrs. Toyin Saraki chaired the first meeting of the Contact Group of the Primary Healthcare (PHC) Revitalisation Program. The meeting which was co-chaired by Dr Benjamin Anyene of Herfon, was also attended by representatives from the World Health Organization, the ONE Campaign and UNICEF.
