Gushegu DCE confirmed amidst controversies
In spite of the high uncertainties that surrounded his confirmation, the President’s nominee for Gushegu district in the Northern region, Musah Issah received a 100% endorsement as District Chief Executive (DCE).
The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed led by a team to the assembly to ensure the confirmation is done successfully.
This is in total disregard to a warning issued by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Northern region chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu.
He claimed the Konkombas in the area are peeved over Musah Issah nomination and have threatened to cause mayhem.
But the the Regional Minister Salifu Saeed and his deputy Solomon Buah led by team Wednesday June 28 to ensure Mr. Musah Issah is gets majority of the votes to be the DCE for the Gushegu district.
Musah Issah was confirmed by 28 out of 36 Assembly members representing 78 percent of the total votes cast.
Meanwhile, efforts by Adom News to get Bugri Naabu to react to the story proved futile.
